When Scott McIntyre retires from the Royal Air Force, he joins the Mongoose Section, an elite group within the British security services, dedicated to the elimination of the world’s worst international terrorists. One of these, Mustapha al-Yaffi had killed Scott’s parents and sister in a botched attack on some diplomats and Scott takes on the leadership role in hunting down this man. But as he closes in on al-Yaffi, his world is turned upside down as he discovers that everything he thought he knew about his family, his friends and even his target have been complete fabrications and nothing was ever as he had thought.
